Refund policy

This policy sets out the conditions under which WCTB — Wing Chun Traditionnel Bordeaux handles refund requests. It complements our terms and conditions of sale.

General principle

Memberships and registrations for classes, events and workshops are firm and non-refundable. No refund is granted in the event of voluntary discontinuation of practice, absence, or non-use of classes.

A refund may nonetheless be granted, on an exceptional basis and solely at the association's discretion, in the event of force majeure or a duly justified serious circumstance (for example, a lasting medical inability to practise, upon presentation of supporting evidence). The request is then reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Right of withdrawal (distance purchases)

Independently of the principle above, the legal 14-day right of withdrawal provided for by the French Consumer Code applies to purchases made online, under the conditions described in article 5 of the terms of sale. This right cannot be excluded where applicable:

Shop (goods): full refund if the item is returned in its original condition within 14 days; return shipping costs remain the customer's responsibility.
Memberships (services): refund within 14 days of subscribing, minus the value of services already provided if you asked to start classes before the deadline.
Fixed-date events and workshops: excluded from the right of withdrawal (art. L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code) and therefore non-refundable, except where cancelled by us (see below).

Courses and digital content (PDF)

Courses and e-books sold in the shop are digital content supplied on a non-material medium (PDF files), delivered immediately after payment. Under article L.221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, this content is excluded from the right of withdrawal once its performance has begun with your express prior agreement and you have waived this right.

For this reason, at the time of purchase you tick a box by which you accept immediate delivery of the file and expressly waive your right of withdrawal. As a result, courses and PDF content are neither taken back nor refunded, and the file remains accessible once downloaded.

Cancellation by the association

If an event or workshop is cancelled on our part, the corresponding amount is refunded in full, or carried over to a future session with your agreement.

Terms and timeframes

All refunds are made via Stripe, to the original payment method. The time it takes to appear on your account depends on your bank (generally 5 to 10 business days after processing).

How to request a refund

Send your request, along with your order number or membership details, to contact@wing-chun-traditionnel.fr or via our contact form. We will acknowledge receipt and process your request as soon as possible.
